If you are searching for pet-friendly inns in Cape Cod or dog-friending lodging in Hyannis, then you’ve found the perfect spot. At the Simmons Homestead Inn, we welcome canine friends of all shapes and sizes. There are many reasons why a dog-friendly inn is an excellent choice for your Cape Cod vacation, including the following.

1. Your Dog Will Thank You
No dog wants to be left behind, and if you select our pet-friendly Hyannis inn, you don’t have to leave your dog behind. We’ve been welcoming furry friends for years, and dogs feel very comfortable here at Simmons Homestead. We have plenty of yard space for sniffing and exploring and while each of our guest rooms is lovely, the rooms aren’t so fancy and upscale that you will worry your precious pooch might harm something.

2. Many Attractions Are Pet-Friendly
In some cities and regions, bringing a dog might not be an ideal option. However, Cape Cod is a dog haven, and many restaurants, beaches and hiking trails are open to the four-legged set as well as their human companions. If you are searching for pet-friendly inns in Cape Cod, Simmons Homestead Inn is located in the center of the Cape, providing you with close access to virtually all of the pet-friendly fun in the region.

3. Dogs Make Excellent Guests
Even if you don’t have a dog, there are still many reasons to consider pet-friendly inns in Cape Cod. For instance, if you have children, they will enjoy getting to know all of the furry guests. If you were toying with the idea of adopting a dog, a stay at Simmons Homestead Inn just might seal the deal. Once you see how much fun dogs can be, and how easy it can be to travel with your precious pooch, you just might be ready to take the plunge and provide a forever home for some special dog.

4. You Can Enjoy Some Cape Cod History
Many visitors to Cape Cod come for the historic charm of our many villages and towns. The Simmons Homestead Inn is the only historic lodging in Hyannis, so if you were hoping to book a stay in a historic inn and also wish to bring along Fido, we can fulfil both of these wishes. Our inn has been gracing Hyannis for more than two centuries, and the property also includes a historic car museum, which inn guests can enjoy free of charge.

5. You Might Make Some Unique Friends
Of course, it’s not just about the dogs at our pet-friendly inn in Cape Cod. Over the years, we’ve hosted a variety of unique animals. During your stay, you might run into a friendly macaw, a gentle turtle or perhaps a sweet little hamster. We’ve even had a sheep or two visit the inn and enjoy snacking on our back lawn. Although we can’t allow cats in our guest rooms due to potential guest allergies, we do have many feline friends in our historic barn, which has been converted into a building known as the Annex. So, if you love cats, come on over to the Annex, meet some of our cats and enjoy a game or two of billiards.

At our lodging in Hyannis, we accept many different types of pets. Dogs of any size are welcome, and often people with multiple dogs also are welcome. We do ask that all canine guests have current flea and tick medication, and we do require a $25 extra cleaning fee if you bring your animals. As we said before, many other animals are welcome here at the inn, although we are unable to accommodate cats or horses.
